With Summer winding down and Fall just ahead I wanted to give everyone a quick update on a few WASC items so you can plan accordingly. More information and details will come over the next few weeks but here are some important events and dates coming soon that you should know about.

Summers been fun... lets go skiing!

Street Fairs: Once again Elyce & Giancarlo Rivera will be coordinating our booth and staffing for the following three fairs and they need our help. If you.re available and want to help promote our great club please contact Elyce via email at NYCelyce@aol.com and let her know which day or days she can count on your support.

* Westfield Festifall - Sunday September 26th
* Summit Street Fair - Sunday October 10th
* Cranford Street Fair - Sunday October 17th

Cheesecakes are Back! It.s never too soon to start signing up your customers and, if you want to challenge Paul the cheesecake king, you need to start early! We should have the order sheets, flavors etc. up on the web in the next week or two and I will send out the link once it.s there, and there still only $20 each!

First Business Meeting and BBQ: Thursday, September 30th at 7:30 PM we will kickoff the 2010/2011 WASC season. At this first meeting we will enjoy a Barbecue dinner, reconnect with our ski buddies and, vote on the new Budget for the coming year.

Last Summer Dinner: Monday, September 27th at TGI Friday.s . more details to come on this.

Annual Schunemunk Mountain Hike: Sunday, October 24th our resident hike leader Joe Tag will once again lead us to the 1664 foot Summit of Schunemunk Mountain. This is a great annual rite of WASC and we hope many of you will join us this year.

WASC Open House: Thursday, October 28th- Hold that date for this very important annual event! Ellen will once again lead the charge here and we look for everyone to help out that night!

And one more item that is new this year..

First Annual WASC Bike Ride: Saturday, September 11th around 10:00 AM. I plan to lead an easy (i.e. no big hills) 10-15 mile bike ride over some of my favorite roads in the area. More information to come on this very soon.
