Hello friends…

Here we go...my first President's message and BOY am I nervous! My predecessor Paul left me with big shoes to fill. Paul did a great job, and I will seek his advice often.

I want to personally thank the members for electing me to the highest position in the club. As president, it is my duty to fully execute the wishes and requests of the members within the rules of the constitution and not just dictate my personal interests.

My first correspondence to the members was a general questionnaire. I received a lot of feedback, and I thank you for that. I will address these suggestions to the best of my ability.

The 2007-2008 season started July 1 and our first function was the annual bash at Paul Yanicak's 4th of July party. As usual the steaks and "fixin's" were fabulous. It did rain a little, but it didn't stop the good times and the great fireworks! Thanks Paul and Anna!

Our first summer meeting was at the Elks and the turnout was great, but where were YOU?
We also had our first Executive Council meeting. I plan to have monthly Council meetings so as problems arise, we can execute changes quickly.

Our second Executive meeting was held at my home and much was accomplished. The calendar is complete and is posted in this newsletter. We have a great season planned, so sharpen your skis because we are going on some awesome trips! I even plan to get some new skis, so give me your suggestions on what to buy.
